Cemeteries
Chippewa Township has four cemeteries, all of which date back to the 1800s.
- Chippewa Cemetery (located at 19600 Chippewa Drive)
- Church Cemetery (located on 90th Ave.)
- Sparks Cemetery (located on 80th Ave.)
- Eaton Cemetery (located on 20 Mile Rd.)
Chippewa Cemetery on Chippewa Drive is the only cemetery with available plots for sale.
*NOTICE*
No artificial flowers shall be planted outside of an urn. Any artificial flowers planted outside of an urn will be removed and disposed of. Artificial flowers and decorations may be placed and maintained at the headstone of graves no earlier than May 1st and must be removed if one wishes to keep them, no later than October 1st. For Holidays falling outside of these dates, decorations are permitted for 3 weeks prior to and 3 weeks following the holiday.
CEMETERY DRIVES ARE NOT PLOWED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS!
There shall be no snowmobiles, four-wheelers, go-karts, or similar vehicles within the cemetery, as per Michigan State Law.
